    When Pope Francis addressed the crowd in St Peter's his humility and prayerfulness came across immediately. He opened his remarks with 'buonasera' and then led the Our Father and Hail Mary. He talked about embarking on a journey, bishop and people and asked people to pray for him.

    You could have heard a pin drop during the silent prayer that followed. It was a powerful moment. A new chapter of the Church has begun.
