Ainda antes de ser transmitido, no passado dia 22, já este programa da CBS recebia pressões de Israel para evitar que fosse para o ar. Vale a pena ver.

    Coloco aqui este comentario de uma avó americana com 6 filhos:"Thank you with all my heart 60 minutes for bringing the truth of this tragedy to the American Public. I was both in Gaza and the West Bank. I know Christian Palestinians. They look upon their muslim friends a brothers, as at one time both they and the Muslims looked upon their Jewish neighbors before 1915 when the Zionist Jews invaded them from Europe and Russia. As a Latina and a Christian, I can see this objectively. I don't have a stake in this other than seeing justice and peace for all of humanity. But one correction: Israel targets Christian Palestinians not because of their religion but because they are Palestinians and indigenous to the area. Zionists are not. My faith in CBS has been restored. P.S. thank you for standing up to Michael Orrin. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you."

    Lembro que estas questões são mais discutidas em Israel e nos EUA do que na Europa. Aquando da visita de Bento XVI à Terra Santa (há três anos precisamente) um escritor israelita publicou um artigo lamentando o êxodo dos cristãos tão importantes para a identidade do Médio Oriente (ver post em http://regador.blogspot.pt/2009/05/bento-xvi-na-terra-santa-ii-visto-por.html). Mas, enfim, ainda há muito trabalho por fazer e não sei se é ainda possível inverter o estado de coisas actual.
